Horsetail supplies essential ions and microelements to the body. It exhibits diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties, prevents formation of kidney stones and atherosclerosis. Horsetail plays an important role in metabolism; it normalizes the condition of the mucous membranes. It is also recommended for children suffering from bronchitis and asthma.
The horsetail grass contains flavonoids: ascorbic acid (0.2%), carotene; malic acid, aconitic acid, oxalic acid; sitosterol, tannins, silicic acid (25%), fatty oil, bitter resins of macro- and micronutrients.
